Today I got my very first payment through freelance writing.
I left medium for it, but also grateful to this wonderful platform.
So in the course of the past four months, I’ve been going through a very tough time.
During this period, I found medium and being overwhelmed with its feature.
So I decided to write in the medium for the sake of showcasing my writing skills and building a portfolio as well.
Although I didn’t write as much as needed for the professional portfolio, still I’m getting ready to publish my article online for free.
After writing some articles in medium I wanted to earn some money through it.
So I started approaching clients for my first gig, I optimized my social media accounts as a writer and tried to get some attention from anybody (clients).
Luckily I’ve found one and got my first work, but unfortunately, I missed my chance.
Due to miscommunication, I lost my first deal. And now I have become more cautious about it.
The very next day out of nowhere a friend of mine texted me and asked to write for his friend .
No, I didn’t want to create a fantasy here, my friend knows that I’m writing blogs for medium.
That’s why he approached me and asked for writing work.
The next day, We planned a meeting on Google Meet, where I met my first client, After the meeting I got my first (not first as you know ) work .
He gave me 4 topics related to business and blog outlines as well.
Then we negotiate about my price for this work.
I completed my work on the set deadlines and got some kind words from my client.
And then, I got the thing that I desperately wanted. Guess what!
Yes, you’re right money.
So this is my story of getting my first-ever income from writing.
And now I want more work like this if any of you guys need a writer, Don’t forget to consider me.
I’m very obliged to you and always be there for writing.
I know that writing to only one client is not a very big deal for many of you.
But it means a lot to me and my life experience. That’s why I want to share this with you.
If you found it interesting, share it with anybody who needs it.
Ok, that’s it for now. We will meet soon.
Thanks for reading.
